Lego Play as Training for Future Engineers
Smithsonian Magazine has a great piece about Lego's influence on future engineers via its MIndstorms robotics set, and kids' exposure to basic engineering principles while participating in First Lego League action: A recent Brandeis University study shows that kids who participate in robotics contests are more than twice as likely to pursue a career in science and technology, and nearly four times as likely to pursue one in engineering.
